We are excited to partner with Radnor Memorial Library as they welcome Camille Paglia to introduce her new book Provocations: Collected Essays, a lavishly comprehensive collection of essays, articles, columns, and interviews. The inimitable intellectual firebrand tackles topics from Picasso to punk rock, from religion to Rihanna, and covering the full span of her wide-ranging and important career. Her laser-sharp insight, matchless wit, and fearless commentary continue to be ahead of the curve--not only capturing the tone of the moment, but often anticipating it. Paglia will also discuss her 2017 essay collection, Free Women, Free Men: Sex, Gender, Feminism. Camille Paglia is an American academic and social critic and has been a professor at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia since 1984. A graduate of Binghamton University and Yale University, Paglia was ranked no. 20 on a Prospect/Foreign Policy poll of the world’s top 100 public intellectuals. Books will be available for purchase at the event from Main Point Books. Seating is limited and registration is required.
