Book Groups

Book Groups: Main Point Books offers several book groups. You are welcome to attend groups, at your convenience, with no prior sign-up. We will be adding additional groups so please check back.

Paperback Fiction Group: The group meets monthly, with both a daytime and evening option. The evening group meets the second Wednesday of every month at 7 pm. The daytime group meets the third Tuesday of every month at 1 pm (you are welcome to bring lunch with you.) We pick fiction books that are available in paperback, either recent releases or books that we feel many people may have missed. Anmiryam Budner leads the discussion, placing the books in context and encouraging discussion.

Please check our event calendar to see the book pick for each month. We try to pick the books several months ahead to give you plenty of time to read them.

Girls in Capes Young Adult Book Group: The GIC Book Club is a monthly book club featuring young adult, new adult, and crossover titles linked to the Girls in Capes publication.  The book club discussion focuses on what you like and don’t like about each book, whether or not you would recommend it to a friend and similar books you also liked. The book group is led by Feliza Casano who is the founder and editor in chief of Girls in Capes.  A recent graduate of the Masters in Publishing program at Rosemont College Feliza currently works and lives in the area.

Science Fiction Book Group: Third Tuesday of Every Month at 7pm
